The area offers a wide variety of activities and places to visit; from the moors and beaches to ancient castle and stately homes. There are also plenty of attractions for the family to enjoy a day out and excellent restaurants and pubs .Tintagle Boscastle Port Isac and Padstow are all within a short drive
For the family we have Crealy Adventure Park near Wadebridge which offers family-friendly rides, giant play areas and animal encounters. There is also the Bird of Prey Centre who boast a collection of over 50 birds of prey for you to see, with regular flying displays.
The world famous Eden Project is about 45 minutes away and slightly nearer the ancient town of Bodmin has its gaol open to the public.
North Cornwall itself has long been associated with King Arthur. Just down the road is Camlann supposedly the site of his last battle and the Arthurian Centre has a collection oprops fom the film 'Excalibur', prints artwork and a display of the tales and legends of Arthur. THey also have an ancient stone and medieval gardens. Tintagel has its castle (reportedley the site of Camelot), King Arthur's Halls and St. Nectaans's Glen.
For walkers we have the windswept Bodmin moor which boasts some of the area's most stunning scenery, plus a collection of beaches at Bude, Polzeath and Crackington Haven.
If it's fine dining you're after Camelford has several restaurants and pubs including the Mason's Arms and the Old Coach House. Bowood Golf Course is 5 minutes away and they also offer excellent meals. Boscastle harbour has several excellent eating houses and the famous Jamaica Inn is about 45 minutes away across the moor.
